RIDGID's history began in 1923 with the development of a revolutionary new pipe wrench that could withstand high loads and greatly simplify pipe work. From the 1930s onwards, RIDGID's range of products included plumbing equipment. In the 1940s, the manufacturer presented another innovative solution - the RIDGID 400 hand threading machine with a drive. In the 1950s, the company introduced a portable threading machine.
